Bamboo Stick

Bamboo stick is an effective tool for attaching the hanao or thongs to Nuno-Zori (cloth sandals.)
The more you use stick, the smoother it becomes and the more golden its color becomes. Bamboo craftsman carefully makes each piece. The bamboo is left to sit/dry for about five years and thoroughly dried to create a sturdy bamboo stick.
